Trump administration Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. delivered a pair of press conferences this week addressing the sharp rise in American autism rates, announcing the federal government is investigating what toxins and other factors may be contributing to the alarming spike.
On Wednesday, Kennedy spoke in Washington, D.C. about some key data showing autism is becoming more common.

“We’re going to announce a series of new studies to identify precisely what the environment toxins are that are causing [autism]. This has not been done before…” he told the audience.
RFK also stated, “Autism destroys… our greatest resource, which are children. These are children who should not be suffering like this. These are kids who, many of them were fully functional and regressed because of some environmental exposure into autism when they’re two years old.”
“This is a preventable disease. We KNOW it’s environmental exposure. It has to be. Genes do not cause epidemics. It can provide a vulnerability, but you need an environmental toxin.”
On Tuesday, Kennedy made another speech at the “Make Indiana Healthy Again” event where he said that “environmental factors” in addition to medications and a lack of screening are contributing to the increase in autism.
At one point, the HHS secretary pointed out the VAERS CDC surveillance system for vaccine injuries catches less than one percent of them, according to the CDC’s own study.

Kennedy said under his lead the agency will roll out a new reporting system to health maintenance organizations (HMOs) that includes improved surveillance and data sharing to find out how vaccines, mold, EMFs and other exposures factor into the autism epidemic.
While the medical establishment and mainstream media shriek over the prospect of vaccines being connected to autism and other health issues, the fact is that Americans overwhelmingly voted for President Trump to look into these problems.
