On Sunday during a 60 Minutes interview, Ukrainian Dictator Vladimir Zelensky, wearing his black dictator outfit, said that he does not believe he can have direct peace talks with his counterparts in Moscow due to trust issues he has with Russia. Interestingly, this echos a similar sentiment Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed about the government of Kiev in late March.
Perhaps more importantly, while CBS News only uploaded the full hour-long interview in Ukrainian without English subtitles, the version they made for the American audience, with an English voiceover, was just 13 minutes. That American-market piece included only small ‘curated’ segments of The Dictator speaking and many instances of narration geared toward breeding contempt toward Russia and pity for Ukraine.
While talking about a recent Russian strike on the Ukrainian city of Krivoy Rog, The Dictator said “we can’t trust negotiations with Russia.”
Not only does Zelensky lack trust of the country he is expected to sign a peace deal with, but also carries a strong emotional disdain toward his political counterpart there. Zelensky described his opinions of Putin as “100 percent hatred.”
“Russia strikes Ukrainian cities daily, 17,000 attacks on schools, 600 children dead, 780 hospitals and clinics attacked, 13,000 civilians killed and up to 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers dead,” the edited 60 Minutes interview of Zelensky made for the American market said, leaving out Ukrainian attacks against Russian civilians. “All for Vladimir Putin’s vanity war, to expand Russia to NATO’s doorstep.”
Neglecting to mention Ukraine drone bombing sleeping Russian civilians in apartment buildings could perhaps be an oversight, however a categorically false statement made by 60 Minutes was that Russia is expanding to NATO’s doorstep when it has been NATO which has expanded to Russia’s doorstep.

The narrator went on to criticize President Donald Trump for not supporting Ukraine’s war and calling out Kiev’s leader as a dictator.
Interestingly, in December Putin said that he only had one requirement to signing a peace plan, that Kiev hold elections for their Dictator. Zelensky, however, has repeatedly refused to hold elections, causing Trump to call him a “Dictator without elections” in February.
To clarify, Zelensky’s presidency ended in May. The Dictator refused to step down due to war-time provisions in the Ukrainian Constitution. He reiterated his anti-election stance in November during a speech before the Ukrainian Parliament.
The Dictator continues to grasp to power even after an impending ceasefire was set to go into effect. On March 14 Zelensky’s advisor stated he will not step down or hold elections despite this halt to hostilities.
The curated English interview of Zelensky featured the Dictator saying he wants foreign military forces in Ukraine to fight Russia which he referred to as ‘peacekeepers‘, a notion supported by the U.K. and France.
The narrator then criticized Trump for saying he hopes to end the war very soon, yet the war is still going, as if to blame Trump for it. 60 Minutes did not however mention Zelensky refusing to sign a peace plan.

President Trump called out Zelensky, CBS News and 60 Minutes for the dishonest claims.
“Almost every week, 60 Minutes, which is being sued for Billions of Dollars for the fraud they committed in the 2024 Presidential Election with their Interview of Failed Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris, mentions the name “TRUMP” in a derogatory and defamatory way, but this Weekend’s “BROADCAST” tops them all,” Trump said in a social media post Sunday night. “They did not one, but TWO, major stories on “TRUMP,” one having to do with Ukraine, which I say is a War that would never have happened if the 2020 Election had not been RIGGED, in other words, if I were President and, the other story was having to do with Greenland, casting our Country, as led by me, falsely, inaccurately, and fraudulently. I am so honored to be suing 60 Minutes, CBS Fake News, and Paramount, over their fraudulent, beyond recognition, reporting. They did everything possible to illegally elect Kamala, including completely and corruptly changing major answers to Interview questions, but it just didn’t work for them. They are not a “News Show,” but a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as “News,” and must be responsible for what they have done, and are doing. They should lose their license! Hopefully, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as headed by its Highly Respected Chairman, Brendan Carr, will impose the maximum fines and punishment, which is substantial, for their unlawful and illegal behavior.
